支持 Measures

Washington College will offer and implement appropriate and reasonable supportive 措施 to the parties upon notice of alleged harassment, discrimination, or 报复. 支持 措施 是不-disciplinary, non-punitive individualized services offered as appropriate, as reasonably available, and without fee or charge to the parties to restore or preserve 访问 学院的 education program or activity, including 措施 designed to protect the safety of all parties or 学院的 educational environment, or deter harassment, discrimination, or 报复.

的 第九条 Coordinator promptly makes supportive 措施 available to the parties upon receiving notice of a report or a Formal Complaint. 当时 supportive 措施offered, the College will inform the Complainant, in writing, that they may file a Formal Complaint with the College either at that time or in the future, if they have not done so already. 的 第九条 Coordinator works with the Complainant and Respondent to ensure that their wishes 是 taken into account with respect to the supportive 措施 提供的. College will maintain the pr我的隐私 supportive 措施, provided that privacy does not impair its ability to provide the supportive 措施. 的 College will act to ensure as minimal an academic impact on the parties as possible. 的 College will implement 措施 in a way that does not unreasonably burden the other party.

  • Referral to counseling, medical, or other healthc是 services
  • Referral to the Employee Assistance Program

  • Altering work arrangements for employees or student-employees

  • Providing transportation accommodations
  • Implementing contact limitations (no contact orders) between the parties 
  • Increased security and monitoring of certain 是as of campus

  • Extensions of deadlines
  • Other course/program-related adjustments 
  • Class schedule modifications, withdrawals, or leaves of absence

Bystander Intervention

In the simplest terms, if you see something say something!

Situational Aw是ness:

  1. Noticing what's going on
  2. Interpreting a situation as a problem
  3. Assuming personal responsibility
  4. Knowing how to intervene
  5. Taking action (intervening).

Above 是 the keys steps in supporting your friends, teammates or someone you may not even know who may be involved in a situation that puts them or others at risk. By taking an action (maybe just getting others involved) you can make a difference in stopping a potential situation from spiraling out of 控制.

同伴聪明 is a student-run organization dedicated to education and training related to sexual violence and other related issues.

 

Amnesty for Drug and Alcohol Use

的 health and safety of every student and employee at Washington College is of utmost 重要性.的 College recognizes that students or employees who have been drinking or using drugs (whether such use is voluntary or involuntary) in violation of other College policies may be hesitant to report incidents due to fear of potential consequences for their own conduct. 的 College strongly encourages individuals to report such Prohibited Conduct. A Complainant, bystander, orother individual who in good faith reports Prohibited Conduct under this Policy to a College official or law enforcement shall be covered under 学院的 Medical Amnesty Policy as outlined in the Student 手册.
